🤞CBB Tuesday best bets: Houston's undefeated record at risk?🏀

TheGx sports betting forum copy and paste machines reporting:

The college football season is officially over. Michigan etched itself in history as national champion - a feat the Wolverines basketball team won't replicate this spring.

For all the collegiate sports fans transitioning from football to basketball, I have good news: There are two months left in the regular season and it should be an exciting finish before conference tournaments begin. We'll have you covered throughout the rest of the season as we dish out our best bets.

Here are Tuesday's wagers.

Duke @ Pittsburgh (-5, O/U 146.5)

Duke doesn't look like the dominant squad many thought could compete for a national title. However, it's still the ACC's best team.

Although Pittsburgh is an ACC foe and it's a road matchup, the Panthers have mostly folded against good competition this season. Their lone conference win was against Louisville, which doesn't deserve the distinction of being labeled a power conference team after its disastrous last two seasons.

Pitt has lost to Florida, Missouri, Clemson, Syracuse, and North Carolina. The Panthers' strength is their size, which should help as they try to contain Duke's Kyle Filipowski. But Pitt doesn't have the talent or offensive firepower to keep up with the Blue Devils, even at home.

Pick: Duke -5

Kansas State @ West Virginia (+1.5, 139.5)

Kansas State is the second road favorite we're backing, and that can be risky in conference play. It's even more risky given the Wildcats' occasional inconsistency. But West Virginia is by far the Big 12's worst team and is having a terrible year after moving on from longtime head coach Bob Huggins. The Mountaineers are 5-9 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

Kansas State isn't the team it was last year when it competed for a Big 12 title, but it's significantly better than West Virginia, which ranks 133rd on KenPom. Kansas State is currently ranked 61. This is more of a bet against West Virginia, which might struggle to find two conference wins this season.

Pick: Kansas State -1.5

Houston @ Iowa State (+2.5, O/U 132)

Houston is a perfect 14-0 on the season and undefeated against the spread. There are very few spots where I, or anyone, should fade Houston. However, this is one of them.

Houston's defense is incredible. All five players are connected, rebound at a high level, and make it daunting for opposing offenses. The Cougars are first in KenPom's adjusted defensive efficiency ranking.

But if any team can combat Houston's lockdown defense, Iowa State may be the perfect candidate. The Cyclones score the 16th-most points per game in the country, pouring in 84.6 per contest. They're also a top-20 team on KenPom (Houston is No. 1). Houston and Kansas are the clear front-runners to win the Big 12, but Iowa State should be considered a contender.

The Cyclones will prove that as a home underdog against Houston. This game has a low total, which makes sense given Houston's defensive mastery. If it's a low-scoring game, Iowa State should have a better chance of covering and possibly even winning.

Pick: Iowa State +2.5
