Well, picked up right where I left off in College basketball cashing 50 dime winner #4 in a row on Portland State (+10') getting there late 89-79.
The game was a lot closer than the final score would lead you to believe and I should never have needed 1 of 2 free throws with 6 seconds left for the cover.
The big dog Vikings fought hard the entire way but they weren't just battling Stanford, they were also battling the officiating as they fought the proverbial "home whistle."
We're talking field goals even: 27 of 59 for Portland St to 27 of 57 for Stanford. The Vikings killed the Cardinal from deep: 13 of 17 to 6-17 from the home team.
But you can't win a game when the officials send Stanford to the free throw line 36 times compared to 16 for the underdog Vikings.
Every time Portland State made a run, you would get a bullshit foul call almost every single time. I could not believe what I was watching.
All is well that ends well with College basketball winner #1 out of the way, continuing the run going back to last year.
Now with winner #1 there out of the way, I turn my attention to College football and once again pick up right where I left off with another mid week winner,

After the 50 dime winner on the Cardinals Monday night, Portland State on Tuesday and Ball State on Wednesday, felt good about winning day #4 in a row.
Then I watched my 100 dimer on Illinois State go down in flames at Ohio.
Bottom line: You are not going to win many college basketball games when your best player gets in foul trouble and only scores 7 points!!!!!
Disappointed? Absolutely but not the least bit worried about my college basketball opinion. Not at all. I will have a great year. Know that, print that.
